Biography of RUDOLPH ANTON MESSNER

MESSNER, Rudolf Anton (c.1912-active 1980). Born in Germany, Messner studied in Munich and Berlin. He came to Canada in 1951 and settled in Vancouver, British Columbia. Working in oil, he is known for his still life, mountain and rural landscapes including farms and buildings in the Fraser Valley and Kamloops, and coastal scenes in Howe Sound.
